On Sunday 1st July the Ladies of Chester-le-Street continued with their success
at the Sunday League.

Back to the Tyne this time to Tyne rowing club. The excitement was palpable we all new what
was in store we've been to Tyne before supporting are children and we knew you can always rely
on Tyne rowing club to provide GOOD CAKES!! and this time they would be guilt free as we were
rowing.
We had a fantastic welcome from Tyne much warmer than the weather it appeared that everything
else had been organised other than the weather but even that could not dampen anyone's spirits
and the cakes were once again superb thank you ladies.
We met old friends and made new ones as there was a new addition to the league with the ladies
of Hollingworth lake joining us all the way from Rochdale The news of the Sunday League is obviously
spreading! The racing was tough but with Chester-le-Street winning through against challenging
opposition with very narrow margins again the ladies of both Tees and Hollingworth Lake but we
won four out of four and overall winners on the day whilst reducing the gap between ourselves
and the current leaders,'The Cake Crew' from Tees, to two points.
So a huge THANK YOU to Tyne for hosting a wonderful day and a huge THANK YOU to all the
competitors and we look forward to seeing you all again in August at Hexham fingers crossed for
some better weather.
