1. This was taken in 1976. It shows Dave Oliver (Ollie) at back centre (with glasses) - to his right is George Adair and to his left Mick Seed. Just out of interest, the four boys at the extreme left (Not Mr. Ecclestone with the beard!) were an under 16 crew who came second at the National Championships that year to a Marlow crew containing a certain S. Redgrave.

2. This was taken at York Head in 1976 or 77. Ollie is at 3, Mick at 2. The boat is the Durham County, which used to be the Vets boat before 'Nee Radgie', and which is still going strong and winning the odd race at Ustinov College.

3. This one is from 1977. Mick is 3rd to left of a young looking Bill Parker, who is a fair bit younger on this photo than Mick is now! Ollie is just left of centre (with the hair and the glasses).

4. This was in the latter stages of the Boston Marathon in 1978 or 79. Mick is at 2 - you may also recognise the stroke as Phil Tully, the present captain of Durham ARC.
